I suppose the forecasts and webcams always make the snow look bad when you can see the snow machines pumping away, warm temperatures and sunny weather. It just makes you assume its patchy and that there wont be much good skiing, but obviously you have to go there to know for real!

Genepy is the nicest thing ever!!! My mate went to Tignes last Feb and brought back a load but apparently you cant get it anywhere else??? I want to go to Tignes for the genepy alone, skiing would be an added bonus!!

And glad you had a good time in Obergurgl jobster!! Have you seen the j2ski snow reports for the Christmas time?? Looks awesome with really low temperatures, maximum freezing levels of -600 odd metres!! And slight snow to.

Swedens premier resort!!

I have never been there but i know many people that have and they all say its awesome. Shame about the snow though, which unfortunately is/was the case over the whole of the alps, although its improved in some places now.

There is nothing sad about skiing!!!! Id love to be able to do 2 hours a week dry slope, any skiing is good!
Some resorts in Andorra are open, although that may not be where you are going. But there must be some snow there, even if it is mostly artificial.

Over a metre of snow in the next few days for Passo Tonale!!! Probably the most snow on forecast in the Alps at the moment. Although the freezing levels are going back to 3000m during the day, a metre of snow wont melt that fast so it should stick around for a while, hopefully a lot more will be added to it!!

Tignes probably.

The situation of snow is quickly improving in most French resorts, Tignes benefitting massively from its height. Although Tignes is obviously a long way from Geneva i think it will be worth it for you!
