I know how you feel, we are going to France over Christmas and I've been worried about lack of snow. I think it's been snowing in Italy too so we all have to keep our fingers crossed that it stays and more falls. We were in Passo Tonale three years ago and loved it. It was in early January and there was absolutely loads and loads of snow which must have started quite early in the season. Some years are better than others!

What hotel are you staying at? Have you been to PT before?

Over a metre of snow in the next few days for Passo Tonale!!! Probably the most snow on forecast in the Alps at the moment. Although the freezing levels are going back to 3000m during the day, a metre of snow wont melt that fast so it should stick around for a while, hopefully a lot more will be added to it!!

Been twice before in Feb/March and the snow,s been brill.

It will be such a expensive disapointment if the snow is poor !.

Going there myself on 29th December. I have a brother living in Bergamo and he is my 'ear on the ground'. The've had one dump of show recently, and according to the forecast they are due another one this Sunday. They also need the temperature to drop so that it doesn't melt.

There is no doubt but that this snow season is a bit late. This week coming is crucial, I'm hoping that it will work out, but all will be revealed this weekend.
