Review of Samoëns, France
"Samosas, a little gem"

Samoens is one village, part of the Grand Massif ski area. First off, it is a very pretty Savoyard village, lots of wood, stone and a community who are very proud of it. This is reflected in the weekly welcome by the local dignitaries, with wine, cheese and a little brochure of activities on offer so plenty for everyone. There is also a weekly market, alpen horns, ice hockey games and the full local activity programme. An excellent Sherpa supermarket in town and another larger supermarket on the outskirts, plus a large Intersport shop.
