Just a quick bit of news to boast of a new English born Ski talent.

We've just come back from watching the finals of the NORTH FACE SKI CHALLENGE which took place in Val Thorens at the weekend.

This fab competition which takes it's finalists from all over Europe - Finland, Sweeden, Germany, Slovakia, France and Italy - this year also included a 13 year old English free-ride skier who qualified 2nd in Chamonix at the end of February and earned a place in the finals amongst some awesome riders

Wearing number 9 (blue Oxbow jacket and POC helmet) Elliott held his own in both the Free-ride on Friday and Freestyle on Saturday despite white-out conditions!

Anyway check out the latest vid on youtube to see all the young riders in action on the free-ride day.

Big up to North Face for putting together this fab competition for young riders and fingers crossed for Elliott's next comp!

LGb-Lift passes

Have you tried going through the French version of the site to book the passes online? Some of our friends had tried to book them online for La Clusaz and couldn't get the english version to work, so the tourist office advised them to use the french version of the site - lo and behold that is working OK! Leave a good week or so for the passes to arrive though.

We'll be skiing over in LeGB tomorrow so we'll let you know what the conditions are like at the moment. They're excellent in La Clusaz at the moment, so I imagine LeGB will be much the same. :D
Swiss Snow

Well it's finally stopped snowing in La Clusaz this morning after a solid 48 hours of snowfall. The snow report is for 110cm at the top of the mountain, but I can't remember seeing more snow than this here in the past 5 years. Some of the Swiss resorts are reporting 270cm at the top and the Italian resorts even more - safe to say it is an awesome start to the season all over the Alps! :D

Got to go and dig the car out now!
