Why not try La Clusaz
We had excellent snow last January and it's a lovely unspoilt french town with a go nightlife. The off-piste over at La Balme and Etale is good and there is always the nearby resort of Le Grand Bornand for more! There is info on these two ski/board resorts at www.gravite.co.uk/piste.php |
HI Simon
Have you thought about a chalet rather than a hotel? Then you aren't so physically split from the kids, as although they are in the room next door they are still closer than in a hotel. We run a small chalet and have double, triple and quad rooms. Unfortunately we don't have one which sleeps five! So it would have to be two rooms! Have you also thought about doing a shorter break than a week to keep th costs down. We do a Monday to Thursday which means you get to ski for three full days and get cheap flights on the Monday or Thursday. It would work out at £1350 for the whole family, and we still have spaces for the easter hols. It also means cheaper ski rental and lift passes. We also do a long weekend Thurs to Monday on the same cheap flight principle, which works out at £1600 for the whole family. I hope this helps. If you are still interested check us out on www.gravite.co.uk |
The snows still good here in La Clusaz, so grab yourself a late break for £50pp per night which includes transfers, accomodation, breakfasts, evening meals, and afternoon tea and cakes, (minimum of 2 people for 2 nights).
Also thrown into the bargain are the services of the hosts to sort out all your ski/board needs, lift passes and lessons. As well as a guiding sessions in the mornings to show you the best bits of the mountains and where to ski for the rest of your hols! Check out www.gravite.co.uk for info and further great spring and summer bike/walk deals. <span class='smallblacktext'>[ Edited ]</span> |
Hi everyone
Just thought I would let you know about a competition to win a 3 night ski holiday for two in La Clusaz. Visit www.gravite.co.uk/snowshovel and click on the date and time of day you think we will have to clear the path of snow athe our chalet here in La Clusaz. Good luck, but hurry the spaces are going fast! Dave (gravité) :) |
Hi Chrisamey
We do long weekends! Thurs night to Monday night, so only 2 days off work! We also do a mid week break Mon-Thurs. This December the lifts in La Clusaz will be open on the 17th, so if you come Thurs night (15th) we will hook you up with ski's on the Friday, sort your passes and any lessons out and give you a briefing on the best places to ski! Saturday morning 8.30am you will be the first on the slopes for three days of superb skiing, guided by me (one of your hosts). Prices from 300pp, which includes food, accomodation and transfers. Just visit www.gravite.co.uk to find out more. Hope I get to show the slopes in December Dave |
Hi easiski
Good to here that someone else is doing weekend and midweek-breaks, it's definately the way to go! We are doing the same in La Clusaz (www.gravite.co.uk) as we are only and hour from Geneva like you guys. Anyway, now we know you are there, if we are snowed under with bookings and can't fill any weekends we will point them in your direction. |

Hi teejay
Having two boys of a similar age ourselves we know what it's like trying to find a good deal for a family! With that in mind we offer a special family rate of £225pp for 3 nights, £250pp for a 4 night and £350pp for a 7 night family of four break. Just check out www.gravite.co.uk/prices.php for more details. We are based in la Clusaz which is an excellent resort for beginners and kids. We have ski hire on the premises at reasonable rates, and know some good english speaking instructors. We can also tell you where to get the best value for money at the mountain restaurants. Which are a lot cheaper here than in the bigger resorts! And could pack up a lunch for you all to keep the costs down. We still have spaces at Easter (off peak too), and the snow has been excellent here until the end of April and beyond, the last few season. And it's a lot warmer for the kids! www.flyglobespan might worth a look for cheap flights, as they fly into geneva. Otherwise try the usual easyjet and flyBe. Anyway I hope this is of some use to you Best wishes sam, gravité :) |
