I have been going now to LGb for the last five years and have always booked my lift passes on line and collected them from the LGb tourist office on arrival, this has mainly been for convenience and to avoid queues. This year they have gone over to the automated hands free system, and low and behold I cannot book on line as the booking system is not up and running yet. Now my question is about the reasons for this as I cannot seem to get any sense out of the lift company or the tourist office, I have always been happy with the service received from the tourist office but this year two weeks to answer an email is for me unacceptable.
I guess this question is aimed at the local guys or maybe admin who I know has been out there this year.

Have you tried going through the French version of the site to book the passes online? Some of our friends had tried to book them online for La Clusaz and couldn't get the english version to work, so the tourist office advised them to use the french version of the site - lo and behold that is working OK! Leave a good week or so for the passes to arrive though.

We'll be skiing over in LeGB tomorrow so we'll let you know what the conditions are like at the moment. They're excellent in La Clusaz at the moment, so I imagine LeGB will be much the same. :D

Thanks graviteski, I have already tried that and still no joy, the site does now say that the service is unavailable.
The conditions look great on the web cams but please give us an update of your findings. ( that means green with envy )

Still this time in 3 weeks we will be skiing, can't wait.
