Does anyone else think North Face has become the modern equivalent of Rodeo and Nevica?!!!!
I don't know much about Nevica apart from the fact that that blue/green combo he has been wearing is going cheap in sportsdirec shops, which isn't usually a good sign.
Rodeo was C&A's own brand, and IMO complete garbage, but served a purpose back in the day.
So I'm not quite sure what you mean about North Face stuff. I've had quite a bit of it over the years now, and currently ski in a North Face outer shell, or a different softshell, and have a pair of North Face sallos as well. I think its well made, good quality, long lasting and fashion conscious. They do, of course, also do a lot of mid range stuff which you see people using as all weather jackets back here in the UK - lots of black waterproofs etc, but again decent quality.
Its also not cheap to buy, whereas the 2 other brands you mentioned are.
Personally, I think North Face in the main is a good buy. Not the cheapest, but look at stuff like Dare2B, Trespass or 5 Seasons if you want cheap and not so good quality. I'd buy North Face gear again and again personally.
Have you had particular bad experience with some of their stuff?
