Buy cheap, Buy twice.

Your certainly right with the Dare2be's but I have never paid over £30 for Sallos and always found them to be good quality, the lastest success is a pair of Five seasons sallo's, excellent budget buy and good quality ..... you don't have to spend big bucks for quality.

I brought a surfanic ski jacket recently for £47 excellent quality and a bargain

I am currently sitting paitently for all the prices to fall so i can stock up for next year. There are some great jackets out there but at stupid prices, i don't mind paying a bit extra for something i really like but i don't want to be fleeced.

Good point, or three or four times! Count that money up and you could of purchased good quality kit from the get go. Buy quality at discount and you won't regret it.

I bought a brand new Helly Hansen ski jacket for £8 a few weeks ago in a charity shop. That's my best bargain so far :D

All my ski gear lasts for years and I don't pay mega bucks for it .... I tend to find I get bored with the colour before it wears out .... I dread to think how many ski jackets I have in good nick in my ski locker .

I was the same Ian however, i purchased a number of jackets and salos but human nature being what it is i was never satisfied until i got some good quality kit. I have had it for the last three seasons and will be happy with it for another three seasons or more.

Ian,
Put the ski gear you don't want in a charity shop and then some very poor person (like me) can buy it cheap

Alistair - I don't know how much the last person paid for the Helly Hanson ski jacket, but I should think it must have been at least £150.
