Snow Time congratulations on getting your refund from the seller of the fake

I hope you will be contacting your local Trading Standards Office, detailing your experience, once you have the money in your hands :D

Snow Time,
I'm glad it was the jacket that was a fake and not you! I can't believe they're allowed to operate like that. I'd be really, really angry if I was you.

I suppose sh*t happens - to be fair Spyder Ski Store have been very good and when I sent them an email they immediately offered a refund without any pressure.

If the jacket had been cheaper, or had been on eBay, I would have had strong enough suspicions not to buy. You would expect dealers selling on the Internet to be genuine as their company address ties in with the domain registration details.

The sad thing is that the jacket is very well made, but with a genuine jacket you know the material is high quality, and that the jacket will last for years.

The only thing I'm angry about is being duped enough to post on a forum! On the plus side, at least everyone here know that the jackets for sale are counterfeit.
This week I aaaaarv been mostly........ skiing

Did you report it to trading standards?

Hi Snow Time,
I wouldn't worry about being an idiot - there are plenty of others here  especially me, I'm always putting my foot in it, or doing something incredibly stupid.

Now that you've taken the trouble to register, why not start posting some messages? Like, where's your favourite place to ski/snowboard (assuming you do ski, and you don't just like the fancy jackets!)?

OK I bought a dodgy jacket from the Internet but that makes me a muppet not a t*sser, surely? (rhetorical)

I normally ski at Cairngorm but this year I have also skied four or five times at the Lecht (now little more than a bare hill). I took my son up to Cairngorm this afternoon for three and a half hours, and after the hill fog cleared at about 3pm it was beautiful.

We were limited to the green runs as my son has only skied 5 times, but had a great time on the Ciste Fairway and Bowl, which are still in good condition.

Although I would naturally choose red and blue runs, as far as I'm concerned as long as I'm skiing, I'm having fun!

Is it not absolutely awesome seeing your son ski (assuming he is pretty young) and enjoying being out in the mountains? Great you are getting some time in, I brought the golf clubs out for the first time on Friday but hoping Ullr will deliver us some fresh snow to set us up for April
