Should i go to Austria.

Good Call!!!
I think you've gone a bit off piste there matey!!!
Sounds to me like you've got no idea at all. About anything. Come back and talk to us when you've got something constructive to say.
You ask a question about Austria and slag it off at the same time, but haven't been yet. Give it a go first?
Lots of love,

...wrong side of bed this morning Tony? 8) You wound the guy up...
The irony is strong in this one...
Moving on...
As I've said before; comparing skiing by country is silly. Given that there are hundreds of ski areas in both Austria and France, generalizations by country are a waste of time.
Back on topic - Should the OP go to Austria?
If he likes snow, mountains and skiing then he probably should! If he tells us more about his (skiing) preferences then maybe someone can suggest a resort or two to consider?
As anyone who hangs around J2Ski will know (!), St.Anton and Niederau could hardly be more different - but both have their fans and detractors.
Carry on... but on-topic and helpful please...

You sure you don't mean Australia? I am Australian but admit that our skiing is rubbish. Austria a great place to ski, drink and eat. People are fantastic. Skiing top shelf.

Something tells me that you work in a travel agency? Many people booking this year?
You only mention 2 resorts in France, I guess that your travel agents specialise in Austria rather than France.
2 lift stations in the town at Mayorhofen does not sound like Austrian efficiency to me? Surely it would be more efficient to have more than 2 lifts in this large town? Wouldn't you say? But perhaps after a stuffy bus ride you are all rather used to being crammed in one cable car.
Why did you go to Serre Chevalier? Did you think it was in Austria, or was it a 'staff special offer'?
Anyway, where you off to this year?
I am still liking the sound of France, or maybe even The States where the serious skiiers are.
You won't be at either of those as they won't be on special offer.

Yes I havent been to Bulgaria, but thats a different matter altogether ;-)
It wasnt a wind up either. He asked, I answered. And based on facts and experience too, not just opinions or preferences.
And I only said he had gone off piste by him saying he thought I worked in the travel industry.....based on what? Anyway, quite amusing I thought.
Anyway, back on topic, and I sincerely suggest he gets himself to Austria (pick a resort carefully) and comes back to tell us what he thinks. And THEN I can get started on him...... JOKE, calm down....
So, what kind of terrain does the OP like to BOARD on, and what does he look for from his resort of choice?

Gotta say that i kinda agree with the OP's sweeping generalisations. Its pretty much the impression i get from Austria, not that i would be put off as skiing is skiing.
But given the choice i wouldn't want to waste my time on buses or eating eggs either, it would have to be SC on the hill.
