Get a grip and go to Austria, in my opinion a skiing holiday is better because of all the factors together, better apres, food is just as good as france, you're not ripped off on the mountain, the people are so friendly and the rich arrogant t0$$"*s stay in france...on 2nd thoughts...stay in france :)

Freezy: first and foremost, well said sir, and absolutely on the mark. I do detect our original posting friend was attempting to stoke something up with his comments, but people like him are welcome to their lift queues, 25 euro lunch platters, lack of tress and 9 euro beers in some pompous Russian infested pretentious bar......or something like that anyway ;-)

Secondly, welcome back dude.

Only just seen this, thanks Tony. Dipping in now and then :)
I would have got away with it if it wasn't for those pesky kids!

in fact, I have never experienced over six euro. You must be in all the trendy nightclubs

9 Euros in Courcheval, bar at the top of the gondola from 1850...and Heineken!! I wouldn't complain so much if it was Peroni ;)

Freezy you were going along so swimmingly until you had a shoot yourself in the foot moment of comparing French food to Austrian …..all downhill from that point. -)

I don't think the food offering in French ski resorts is any better than in Austria. I think Austrian mountain restaurants, on the whole, are better.

I found Austria to be ok when I was there in the summertime but I do not know what the ski resorts are like as I not done that one myself yet.
