Val Thorens is on my list of places not to go, I tend to stick to the lesser known resorts skiing is great prices are bearable and they are really pleased to see you -)

we were paying 9 euros for a 1/2 liter of Heineken 3 years ago in Courcheval...never doing France again I said....Meribel this Easter....doh! :oops:
I would have got away with it if it wasn't for those pesky kids!

But then again guy's if you go to that type of resort they are very professional at emptying your wallet, There are plenty of very pleasent resorts in France that don't empty your wallet too much and they also have some excellent skiing …..

Not where we were drinking it wasn't. You didn't venture out into town where it was a lot cheaper, 3 euros a pint at happy hour ;-)

I've had plenty of horrendous departures from Innsbruck, Gatwick, Stansted, Boston, Detroit, Edinburgh......I could go on. It doesn't mean you don't go back though :shock:

What I do remember is we all went out together and the bar was called Scotty's …. So I don't know where you get that I did not venture into town from !!! :shock:

I was paying 5 euro a pint in normal drinking time in this val thorens place that you all dislike so much

in fact, I have never experienced over six euro. You must be in all the trendy nightclubs
