One of the "pleasures" of theses projects is to know the answer,know how clear the clues are yet Mike can not se them.

Thank you for your comments. It saves "issues" after winner is declared. Each person should do own "research" and thus learn all about skiing. Another comment to all. Please when you send PM and state, "I found it",,,,,,,,that is not enough. You should tell me WHAT you found to be considered in the running for the jacket. Several persons are now in the serious attempt for jacket. Far Queue is leader so far!!! |

At a risk in offending all the skiers on this site, I am posting a question in regards to boards.
Those wide items that many young person think are "new"! As in all "inventions" there are several persons who "claim" to have thought of using one large wide board to slide down a snow slope. I am aware that in Turkey and in China many locals use wide curved boards to slide down pastures full of snow. They have been doing this for hundreds of years. The question is,,,,,when did ski magazines discover this item and report it with an article and picture. A. 1933 B. 1964 C. 1974 D. 1983 or E. None of the above ( the answer we all hated in university examinations ) If you want to win TWO bonus points,,,,well name that "board" which was featured as the NEW sliding fad in the ski world! |

Name the first European ski resort that was designed and built specifically to be a ski resort. That is trails, base chalet and lodgings were all built for skiing on mountain that had no village, inn or hotel previously. Now if you want to earn one extra point also name the family that was behind this project ( that financed the complete project ). Again enjoy the Google searching. |
