Booked a last minute cheapie deal in soldeu for the last week of march in the hotel soldeu. Really looking forward to this trip as i had so much fun in Cervinia last month and can't wait to get back in to it :D I've heard that Soldeu has an excellent ski school so i'll prrobably enrole as i could do with some expert advice to get rid of some of my bad habbits etc ;) Anyone got any advice, suggestions or reviews regarding the resort or the hotel etc i'd love to hear it.
Ciao for now |
Yep, sure am thanks. It was great, lovely runs everwhere. The conditions were pretty much perfect and really allowed both myself and the mrs to improve our technique ten fold. I'd recommend Cervinia to anyone looking for great skiing and is an intermediate or below. It's true what they say, Cervinia is a real confidence builder ;)
In fact, i've just booked another last minute cheapie to Soldeu in Andorra for the week after next. If that's half as good as Cervinia i'll be happy! |
I'm so excited, i'm off in two days, and it's snowing there now, 10cms today with loads more forecast. Powder, here i come ;)

One local dry slope has the old fashioned skis, long, straight and bindings pretty much at the back of the ski. Where as another dry slope has modern carving skis with the bindings in the centre of the ski. What's all this about? i know i prefer the latter as it seems much easier to control.

While i'm able, i'll be skiing. If i lost all ability to ski, i'd probably take up snow boarding :D

Nope, sorry not me. More than one mac? who'd have thought it :D

Cool, I was always curious about that. Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions.

My botts seem to have quite a lot of forward flex, is this a good or a bad thing, or is it simply because i'm a lower intermediate and hence they are more forgiving to ski in? will i eventually have to get stiffer boots if one day i actually get good at this sport? Ta!
