Distance to the Slopes in Soll

Not been but I have friends who have been and yes the slopes are away from the village, but they didn`t mind it. It`s about a 15 minute walk to the gondola under the road...there`s a pedestrian walkway apparently. The buses were sporadic and crowded, but they used to get a taxi from their hotel for about 7 euros to save any bother!!! Whether you still can, I don`t know, but you used to be able to leave your skis at the bottom of the gondola for a charge so you don`t have to walk back and forth with them. As long as you know that there is a walk to the lift, you should be able to work round it. Good Luck!

My Crystal ball says yes!!! Looking historically, it will fall in earnest the few days before Christmas and be used as a good base for the Christmas skiing...Although set to be mild again next week,I am sure that by Christmas this lack of snow nightmare will be over! It`s really not good for the health though!!

Ha ha! At least it`s not April mate so you don`t have " fool" tattooed on your forehead! If it`s the inaugural season, then it is obviously all going to be spanking new which is nice! Ski jumps sound fun, just take a shovel to scrape yourself up off the floor after!! Off to do some digging about this " ghost town" of yours!!

We didn`t find it expensive at all..it`s actually quite a good value for money resort. Also the restaurants are uber kid friendly, so squawking kids aren`t looked at unfavourably!!! There are a couple of nice short green runs for your 7 year old to get re acquainted on, so think you`ve picked a good spot for all of you!! Am off to Austria tomorrow for a week, but if you have any questions, I`ll answer when I get back!
