La Rosiere...Not been before, but hubby changed from boarding to skiing last year, so heard there`s a lot of blues for him and some tamer reds to progress onto. Can`t wait to play in the snow!!!!!!

We went late March last year and conditions were not brilliant, but then the week we left, they had a major dump! I found the snow really sticky, which as an intermediate diidn`t really bother me, but it was no good to the beginners in our group. And it was actually raining when we first pulled up in the resort, and then that was freezing at night over slushy snow. Personally, I would always wait to see what conditions are like late Spring after last year, as it really knocked one of my friends confidence. However, as I say, the powder dumped down the last week of March last year and was amazing, and I sooooo wish we`d booked a week later....!

I`d also recommend Val Thorens, and as above, the website is excellent for looking at all the accommodation and the booking office are really efficient and helpful.Plus it`s nice and high so hopefully there should be little in the way of grass!!!

The in laws lost £3k with this, and there is a group on facebook called Action Against Crown Currency Exchange......Some people on there have lost considerably more with 1 person losing £113,000....Now that`s awful!!!! Will definitely be going to the Post Office for my ski spends!

In my opinion....there is no dilemma!!!! Holiday all the way and try out different boots to get to know what you really want before you buy! You`ll probably get a better deal on boots at the end of the season anyway, so financially you could win on all counts! Whilst your own boots are amazing to ski in,I would rather ski in clogs than not have the holiday at all!!!!

We had this conversation today...Controversial or not, but if it was my Company, I would be doing whatever it took to keep as many people employed as I could. And for anyone to be taking union action over pay, during this financial crisis, is, in my very little humble opinion....!, very insulting to those who have lost jobs and are struggling to get re employed....Meanwhile, I hope all of you who have BA flights booked, manage to get looked after, and have great trips!!!!

Personally, anything above the HORRIFIC -38 in Canada 3 years ago.....Don`t know about gloves sticking, but when the chairlift got stuck for 15 minutes was damn near becoming a permanent fixture in Chair 48.....!!!!!Had to skin my frost bitten derriere from the chair and say goodbye to dignity that night when I had cream applied for" buttock cheek!" burns...Oh the shame!!!!Since then I chase warm snow
