No rucksack, Mrs H carries that. I dont like it on my back. And no beers in it, weighs it down too much for her. I dont drink hardly any beer during the day, maybe a pint at lunch but not religiously, just like to have 2 or 3 straight off the slopes TBH.
Always carry plenty of water in the rucksack though. And Mars Bars.

Just hide them in it
New one on me never been charged to pee in France yet again I must be just lucky, only place I have been charged to pee recently was Liverpool street station 30p
Never felt the urge to ski any of those places, and possibly never will now, I bet there is a lot of yellow snow around those places

French resort cafe owners like charging for their toilet use, and banning picnic consumption on their terraces. IMV it's a pretty distasteful practice, especially for women skiers needing to use the toilet facilities. IME the majority of French ski resorts I have visited have no free public toilets despite their high lift ticket prices. We all know where many men tend to relieve themselves!

Another good reason to ski Switzerland :D
No charges to pee whatsoever where I ski, and I have been known to sit and eat my sandwich in the main self service restaurant, if I can't be bothered to go downstairs to the free picnic room )

I dont have massive experience of France, but I can say that in Serre Chevalier we had no problem using toilets in any cafe, bar, hut or restaurant. There were no charges, and no one got funny about us using them. It did seem a very laid back and relaxed place, compared to what I remember of Val Thorens. I hope I am not going to find ADH to be a problem....

Wickers, charges have been levied (or an attempt made) on me in Tignes, Val d'Isere, La Plagne, Flaine, Val Thorens....losing the will to complete the list....
We are talking half a euro here, so your 30p to pee seems quite good value
