They are far more capable than I expected. They hold a carve well and have enough float to venture a little off piste. Worth testing either as an 80 or 85.

From what you write about your skiing, you will outgrow the Colt Ti quite soon.

I found the 85 superb on spring conditions (ice to slush with a little fresh stuff thrown in).
A little twitchy on hard pistes when going fast - but I would say I was just going too fast for the skis/conditions.
Brilliant in slush and surprisingly easy on the bumps too.

If you get the chance, try the Rossi Avenger 82ti. It may be a little more ski than you are used to, but it's pretty friendly. It is an incredible piste ski. You don't notice the width much, edge to edge. Quite pricey, but it is a ski that will last you many years.

because I'm so inclined .....

The Rossignol Avenger is called the Zenith in Europe and the range tops out with the 82 Ti Basalt.

Thanks SwingBeep. The non metal skis in the range were not very impressive, but the ti was a whole different animal. Also much lighter than the Nordica and Atomic skis.
