From what you write about your skiing, you will outgrow the Colt Ti quite soon.
I found the 85 superb on spring conditions (ice to slush with a little fresh stuff thrown in).
A little twitchy on hard pistes when going fast - but I would say I was just going too fast for the skis/conditions.
Brilliant in slush and surprisingly easy on the bumps too.
