I was looking at the Skis that our local Decathlon have just had delivered for the new season and they had some Atomic Colt TI's.

Looking around online i can hardly find any reference to them at all. They were asking over £400 for a pair so i don't believe they are old models.
They look very much like the Blackeyes.

Ever heard of them?

Nope !
Mind you I wouldn't listen to me when it comes to skis - I know very little about what skis are called etc.
Good luck.
So - Snapzzz, decided to buy then?

Hi Snapzzz, I cannot comment on the skis directly, but they seem to be current models.

A couple of links a google search turned up.

Skipass reckon the ski is for Beginner/Intermediate level. Is that how you see your skiing?

Do you want to stay at that level?

It's a beginner/intermediate foam cored cap ski with an early rise tip. £400 seems expensive, the Dynastar OUTLAND 75 XT and Rossignol Alias 74 Carbon can be had for much less and are probably better skis.

Old Andy - Yes, i think i have. I am looking into it seriously now, the only thing that is putting me off is maintenance really.

Far Queue - Thanks for the links, they are the ones that i saw but could find nothing else.

Bandit - I am hoping to advance pretty quickly now. This dec will be my third week followed by another in feb. I am comfortable on steep reds but hope to progress to blacks this season. I suspect most of my time this season will be on piste but hope to try a little off piste once i am totally happy.
I am looking for a ski that will see me through at least the next three seasons that will bring me on.
Tomorrow i am off to Tamworth to try a few different skis and maybe make a purchase.
From my research i am probably looking for something like the Atomic Smoke which is why these caught my eye in the shop.

Swingbeep - I agree, £400 is expensive, especially for decathlon!

Nice one Snapzzz - enjoy the excitement of choosing your skis.
May I suggest a couple of thoughts.
Consider an all mountain ski as well as a piste ski. Check from the manufacturers gumph their suggestions, I've seen things like 80% on piste 20% off piste. I skied Dynastar Legend Sultan and they held really well on biolerplate ice as well as being great in spring slush and light powder.
Consider notionally "better" skis - something to grow into.
In my view pure piste skis have the edge when going quite fast, they are far more stable than all mountain. But for people of a certain age (!!!) ability to control whatever the slopes throw at us tops that stability in my view.
Look for something that will help your skiing growth as you progress to steeper slopes, bumps, powder, crud, slush etc etc
Hope you have a good day tomorrow - do report back

I have some Dynastar Legend Sultan 80's as my "piste" skis, and for days when I'm tired ) I am most surprised and pleased with the versatility of the ski. They are far more capable than I expected. They hold a carve well and have enough float to venture a little off piste. Worth testing either as an 80 or 85.

From what you write about your skiing, you will outgrow the Colt Ti quite soon.
