You all amaze me at your; intelligence, your wit, your imagination, your divergent thinking and of course at your "problem solving" techniques! Jan I just did the first read of your answers. You see like you I go to sleep at night thinking who will be the great winner! First thing in the morning and read posts on this site! Your answers made my day! Your sense of observation, coupled with your experience made the difference. You are the top scorer so far! Your answers were so close,,,I am going to have to read answers again. You are "soaring" very close to success score!!!!! I will send you pictures via your email of the two articles and I am sure you will emmediately get their use! As explained in previous posts,,,,the flex indice for women's boots and men,s boots do have different ranges thus women should not compare men's flex index and women's index!
Several reps from boot companies have confirmed that the two types of values are different! Hope this helps some of you! |

I was sure you knew about this issue! Did you know he just resigned from Team Canada? Do you want to is evidence of "class"? In the 1980 Winter Olympics Ken Reid was "projected" as the possible winner of the Downhill event! 10 meters from starting gate,,his rear bindings "release" and his is thrown off course! Not a word against the company! Not a word against the ski technician! He accepted the "accident" with dignity and class! |

Mike,
You must be Canadian to mention those "crazy canucks",,most skiers on this site have no idea who they are. Let me try another way to get you out of the "skiing" perspective. Yes this great event did unit ALL the great skiers to be together (some even had life long activities due to this participation)! In our life time ( assuming you are not under 50) there were perhaps 5 events that "marked us"; onset of Rock and Roll, Beatles, Cold War, Hippie Mouvement, and,,,,, Some demographers would even argue that we were the "product" of this event! |

I have to "confess" that I did build a ski slope or run in my back yard several years ago! Everyday after school my children would ski for 3 hours till it was too dark. I had a carriage house several meters from house and so I slowly built up slope till it was to roof! I finally had to install lights since other children were now skiing until 9 PM!!! I finally had to put my boots down since adults were coming over, "just to try run"!!!! Yes we are fanatic and ,,,,proud to be!!! Respectfully, |
