I forgot the most important positive point that women skiers have over men skiers!
Past 14 years old women still have an "open mind" about learning skiing from another person (male or female)! Past 14 years old,,men well let us admit it, they know it all! They will not listen to their father, mother, teacher, and even coach (unless he/she is an olympic champaion)! By the time they are in the 20's not only do they know all the answers and techniques,,, but they will insist in showing you there "depth of knowledge"! Here is a typical pre-lesson conversation with male skier! "I want to learn to ski thoses moguls" (in one hour)! "No no I do not want to practice basic moves,,,I know that"! These "special" skis I just bought for moguls do not work! Ya ya I know,,but that is not how I ski! I can't do it because my legs burn! The skis are too long! (or too sharp, or too narrow, or too fast,,you pick) In short the women skier comes into ski class as a "student". the male skier comes as a instructor "mimic" That is learn by imitating the ski instructor! |

I had so many PMs about last post, I have to clarify statements!
In university ,,students quickly learn that "knowing" the lecturer's biases or pet theories was very useful in the final exam! To get full impact of the novel, "The Gulag Archipelago" by Solzhenitsyn you have to know his life! Knowing the source of the information will give you much "help" in understanding questions, pictures and items selected in the pictures! Clearly I have some biases! They show in the picture! All the items were discussed in past postes or documents! |

Several postings all great, all in the top 90% range! I really want to give this jacket,,so keep on the excellent research! Two comments; Please read your answers before sending or have someone read them! Our first three participants will collectively slap their foreheads when they see the right answers! In case you are asked about your activities on net,,let me introduce you to Cata who is doing research at the cell level very much in similiar context! It really is too technical for me but all I can say he is the expert on "stimulating" cells and doing strange things to them! He also is a great skier who wishes like you to become an expert soon! He will support your story that this activity was within the context of your work! He might invite you to see his lab and then his great skiing abilities! |
