We got it so bad here that we built a website just to attract fellow sufferers to join us in our pain! 8)

Hi Pete, latest Snow Forecast for Les Gets shows lower temperatures and a bit of snow for next week, but the following week is beginning to look more interesting in the forecasts (check those funky coloured squiggly lines on the other thread...)

Before you attempt to reply to yourself - read the final reply on this thread.

It does look like another mild spell next week but further out the GFS models (and the general outlook) looks more promising.

As our friends over at Metcheck said earlier this week :-
the cold air to the North is almost "itching" to spread South over the next fortnight.

This should, in theory mean that whilst in the short term things will warm up, February should have a few interesting periods on the cards.

Fingers crossed, keep dancing, and you could be lucky... 8)
Our latest Snow Report for Campitello doesn't look that thrilling. Should get a little more tomorrow but not enough. Sorry. :(

The Snow Forecast for Passo Tonale is looking pretty good for next week - exact quantities are a guess, with wind and compaction taking their toll, but it should be a good covering.
This graphic from WetterZentrale shows the predictions of various runs of the GFS (Global Forecast System) models, for Geneva, over the next two weeks.

The upper set of the lines are the predicted temperatures (left-hand axis), in Geneva, by the various runs, and the lower set of lines are the predicted amount of precipitation (right-hand axis - rain in mm/snow in cm).

The bold white line in each set is the average predicted by all the runs.

This graphic is produced by and is the property of the frankly awesome WetterZentrale site - who provide a fantastic array of information for the technically-minded (in German).
