I've found water under the foot board a few times, but that unusual. After the first time I saw this (when I first started hard boot snowboarding years ago), I checked for the next few times out, but no water. It seems to be something that happens only occasionally.

It's funny when a woman losses something, as they are normally the "finders" in the household and the men are the "can't finders". So I think it comes as a shock to the system when things are reversed. I know I always feel so relieved when that happens.

Life has a habit of doing that to us. I think it has a sneaky way of assessing when things are going well, and you are off guard. It sees your vulnerabilities and dumps on you.
My solution is to meditate. Even if you are not practiced at doing this, You might find just sitting quietly and not thinking about the problems you face will help. It allows your brain to reset and put things in to better perspective. You could try just counting your breaths for twenty minutes. Every time a problem pops into your mind, dismiss it and start counting again. You never know know but in a relaxed state you may remember where your keys are, or come up with a brilliant solution for the Tortoises. Anyway you are out there trying to live the dream and we are rooting for you. |
Forget the skiing, roast lamb sounds like the highlight of the week to me. I going to bed tonight dreaming of mint sauce. BTW Quotes haven't been working very well lately |
A very unlucky fall by all accounts.

Thanks for the reply. That's seems to be the consensus from most novice/intermediate skiers.

Salt lake city area does give you a lot of options. Stay in a SLC area hotel, rent 2/3 minivans and drive to any of several large resorts (45 to 60 mins). Rent a house on the park city bus route (shuttle from airport about $45 ew), and have a free bus ride to any of the three ski areas in PC. Someone in the party could join Costco warehouse club to get discounted lift tickets. |
Unfortunately no bar will be willing choose to risk loss of business by being the first to go smoke free. So effectively, there is no choice. On the occasions I indulge in a cigarette, I do it outside, +40 or -20. I would never want to inflict carcinogenic chemicals on others. Fortunately no one was ever addicted to asbestos and DDT, or we would be arguing over those as well.
