Try this !
After a day of skiing and you have placed your boots in your warm room for 15 minutes !
Take boot and invert it !!!
Watch what will happen !!!
That is why you MUST buy a warm boot heater and use it every time you ski!
or else
you will have a "growth of strange green/yellow micro-organisms in the Spring !
(and a strange smell in your closet )

You need a large insulated freezer bag, and a corn bag heat pad.
Microwave the bag until very hot, wrap it in a towel and place between boot in the insulated freezer bag. Boots will stay warm for at least four hours (along with socks, gloves etc).
You can make corn bag heat pads or buy them from health stores.

I've found water under the foot board a few times, but that unusual. After the first time I saw this (when I first started hard boot snowboarding years ago), I checked for the next few times out, but no water. It seems to be something that happens only occasionally.

I have, on a couple of occasions, got caught out like this.
Sometimes I drive to a lift that is 15 minutes up the mountain mainly because I can ski right back to the car and particularly like that home run at the end of the day. Although my boots are kept in a toasty warm boot room overnight there have been a couple of very cold weather occasions when my boots have cooled down so quickly in the boot of the car whilst on the way to the lift that it has been incredibly difficult to get them on.
The difference between a warm and cold boot really is astonishing!

Some skiers do not "appreciate" how much that 15 minutes of warming up a ski boot will do to overall comfort which can last a day on the slopes !
I do not have the luxury to go in for a "warm up" during the ski day,,so I make sure my boots are "toasty" warm in the morning !
As far as water in the shell of ski boots,,I have no idea how the snow gets in but it does !
Dry out ski boots every time you ski !

A cure for snow getting into boots is to duct tape across the base of the overlap above the toe. I found some black tape at the time I did these, but silver works well. Don't worry about this looking silly as it would be another one of Pavel's signs of a pro skier and is common among people who spend a lot of time on the slopes.

The best part is that if you keep the corn bag well wrapped in the towel and the freezer bag closed, at the end of skiing there will still be some warmth left. If your feet are cold, wrap your feet up with the corn bag in the towel for five minutes - it is rather pleasant.
