Help! Snow in November
Started by User in Ski Chatter, 5 Replies
Most European resorts are, unfortunately, not fully open in Nov. Best bets are obviously the high places and preferably glacier resorts. Tignes, Saas Fee, somewhere like Neustift because of the Stubai Glacier, Mayrhofen (Hintertux nearby). Glaciers should be getting really good by then, but most resorts dont have full winter skiing available then. :(
Never skied Chamonix in early Jan before, sure many people on here will be able to give you a first hand experience of what its like then. But what i can do for you....

Thats over a 13 year period, 1993-2006..... Hope it helps :-)

Lots of resorts within a 2 hour drive from Geneva. Chamonix probably being one of the closest. La Clusaz, Tignes/Val d'Isere aren't THAT far away, Courchevel (and rest of 3 Valleys). The list goes on....
Yeah, Stubai Glacier is very near Innsbruck so definately a good one to try. Not sure where the Hintertux Glacier is in relation to Innsbruck and Salzburg but again its a good glacier and well worth a try if you can.
Ise, tell us about Switzerland.

I've never skied in Switzerland :( , but I really want to soon. I have heard that Lenzerheide and Flims/Laax are good. What is your opinion on them?

Btw Ise, stunning pics from that latest Zermatt trip, it looks absolutely incredible!!! Thanks for sharing :D
