Try Saalbach-Hinterglemm - Saalbach for the variety of skiing and nightlife, Hinterglemm for nicer gentler slopes and quieter - although they have the night skiing from there. We visited Zell Am See for an afternoon, very pretty, but you do get dropped off in the middle of the town and have to find your way to your hotel with all your kit - which may not suit some. S-H would suit you fine!

With this season's snow so far you should be fine - there is the area called the Steinplatte at Waidring which is a big high snow bowl and fab!! Plenty of resorts to use on your lift pass. I have been to that area twice the first week of March a few years ago - they look after the slopes well. You have a nice range of skiing and towns and villages. Enjoy!

The word 'bus' crept in - I was led to believe, unless I have read it all wrong in the brochures that there was a gondola directly across. I must have got it wrong!

Tried Trip Advisor or Hotels.com?

Try the website Natives - they are always looking for all sorts of people to work in the mountains! Worth a try.

Haha I am glad there are others who feel the same!! :D
And then there is the drive through the mountains... the first sighting of your accommodation... the view from your room... :D |
Do you know, I love the night before I go on a ski trip, because you know when you wake up you are going to see snow that day!! (and don't you all come on here with the negatives!!) I love the one more sleep, a packed bag in the hallway, a parking place at the airport... on the plane the first sighting of the mountains... the mountain air when you get off... asking the rep what the snow is like in resort!! I get so excited I could wee!! Fingers crossed this is me in a month's time!!

OK the hunt for our last minute ski holiday has started so would appreciate help on Westendorf - we have not skied there since the mid-90's (went three consecutive years) and loved it. Now there is the link Ki-West does anyone know if you can buy a day pass to use it or can you upgrade your Ski Welt lift pass for a day? We have always had the Ski Welt one in the past but did not want to have the Super Area area pass for the whole time. (We also had a day at the Stubai Glacier from there once too) - just wanted an update on the resort, as we are more than happy to return there again. I could spend hours trawling the net, but much more easy - and fun - to hear from J2Ski buddies! Thanks! ... and a yodel!
