If you have read the previous "sin" messages you will adore this one!

I do not wish to be a "moralist" about this topic, but it seems to me that skiing is all about,,,,SKIING! Thus form must follow function! In the skiing context all ski equipment should be bought to make the skiing experience more enjoyable.

If you accept this premise then you will accept that this case is truly the really really most outrageous ski sin of all!
I know all men will agree! ( at the risk of starting another "discussion") however women skiers will be tempted.....

Let us see!

Just finished reading an article in the local newspaper and headline was, " Fanny leads pack". written by Karen Hahn.
Seems Louis Vuiton ( ha that name sends shivers down some spines) is selling for this next ski season a fanny pack for just $3,000! Seems,,,, according to author this fanny pack was tested in the best runways in Milan and Rome. It blends in well with the new 2008 designs. It actually has "adjustable" strap for even size 00!

It is the very best pack for the "yummy mummy".

Now ladies if you ever want to be laughed off the ski center just buy yourselves this fanny pack!

It truly would be the most outrageous ski sin if you also had rear entry boots, bamboo poles and rental skis!

Can anyone top this?

Mike,

You have a great idea. I will discuss this with the site "guru" Dave and perhaps get some sponsors to "donate" some skis or boots as prize!!

Now we will have to have "rules" . Foe example can Green skier win TWO prizes?

Are there "others" that want to share their skiing stories?

This is what I suggest.
We have a well defined section for ski stories.
We can have a "voting" system so that readers can vote for "best "story.
Every month or two months we can have some form of prize!

Any more rules?

Greenskier,

Your friend will get prize soon. It will be sent via snail mail! I hope you get it before skiing season is over. All I ask is that you share with us all the comments you get from fellow skiers about your tuque.

I am sure you will get many many questions and comments about it!

Keep on skiing for us all!!!

After seeing the picture I am sure the Canadian National Team tuque would enhance the ski outfit. You see it is red also with the Olympic logo in front and the of the great Canadian logo ( Maple leaf) is also shown.

Wear with pride.

Bindings position

Ellistine,

You have now discovered the reason why that site is so good. It questions issues that others do not dare even approach.

As far as binding positioning, ,,,,,the ball of the foot, that is that first articulation of your big toe must be in the center of the chord length of the ski.

The chord length is the distance from tip to tail if you take a string. Thus it is the line from tip to tail.

The article in question noted how two skis from same ski company had two binding positions.

Never trust the ski length number printed on ski. Always measure it.
