Rossfra8,
I have no idea. Still serious skier/tuner. As far as urinals, just by chance I received a marketing flyer which list a "waterless" urinal from Kohler. Very small and clean. It could fit near bench! Now if we could take this tuning area and ISE,s and combine...... |
Thanks for your comments.
I should have researched it more before I bought this unit. I have tried to transfer card to Mac reader but it takse so much time! Thanks Pavel |
Ellistine,
What model do you have! Great video. I bought the Samsun Sports cam which is the size of a cigar. Not very happy with it. I do not get same quality as you! Also it is advertised as Mac/IBM platforms. Quess what,,, not applicable on Mac! What resolution do you have? What battery life do you have? Can you send me via email or download the original! I can make you a DVD with music and titles! Have you ever watched children playing in schoolyard?
Watch them play "King of the hill" on a snow mount! No one is teaching them this or that technique, yet watch carefully you will see how each child has his/her technique to get to top and hold it! Watch again as one person does not succeed to get to top, how his/her technique will change! No adults to tell them what to do! Part of growing up and learning is to develop learning techniques! Not to be taught techniques,(that will come later) but to develop ways to get what you want! Children are great at that, as all parents know1. So it is with skiing. Just give basic survival "tricks", then let kids alone to have fun. Adults ruin the fun with; put your hand this way, lean front, keep inside edges with 70% pressure m while rotating left ear that way. Blah blah blah! Let them have fun while skiing! If you ski well they will ski well since 80% of early learning is done by "modeling" That is why your young boy walks like dad! So if you want to teach your kids how to ski properly,,,YOU take lessons first!!!!! |
Rob,
I would not recommend you do waxing and tuning just before you go on holiday! Ski tuning is very much like learning how to ride a bike. You car read all sorts of books. You view all sorts of videos, but until you get on bike you will never real learn how to ride bike! There is no simple short cut! Sorry. |
80% of parents place their children in schools more as "day care" so that they are free to ski during their holidays!
In my area there is a small ski center and many many parents who do not ski bring their children there ( it is 5 minutes away from major city)! That is a great way to introduce children to skiing,,,but again it is a form of "day care"! Mother father go shoping while.... Now for the purely pedagogical reasons! Children are in the stage where they are learning all sorts of values, activities and rules. Learning is central to their existence. They learn by "modeling" by imitating others so let them do rather than listen to....techniques! If it is fun, they will learn! I suggest first some basic lessons just to learn how to put on skis, walk with skis, fall down ( yes you should learn how to fall down) and get up! Then let them have fun,,,,with supervision! That is they key. With supervision since there are dangers in skiing! If on holiday you can hire a ski-sitter. A young lad or girl to just ski with children! When my children were young, I would ski with them 2 hours , then my wife would ski with them 2 hours! Free skiing is a great way to learn! When your lad goes off trail,,then you can suggest a way to stay on trail! Follow the leader is a game all children know and you can do this in skiing! Is not follow the ski instructor the follow the leader game? Children have a wonderful way to learn all sorts of new "activities" What they will remember ( which is the most important) is your attitude to their progress!Your attitude to sports, to family activities. These will bond you as a family so that as they grow into adulthood they will seek you out and ask you to ski with them and their children! The ultimate reward and recognition that you have done a great skiing job! Just have fun! |
Already I am considered "strange" in the area since I leave in June to go skiing. I rake leaves with my ski boot on. I have many skiers bring their old 1950,s ski to me!
So I try to make my Christmas decorations more traditional! Some people go over the top with all lights, music and fireworks! My tradition Santa Claus ( old European Santa) however does has skis! The very best to all you great skiers on this site! |
Micktheloo,
Welcome to the very best ski site! You will discover why it is so soon!Hope you have lots of questions,,,we love questions! Like; What is a ski bunny? Are red boots faster than black boots? Is Turtle fur real? What is a ramp angle? Why is Jan upside down? Why does ise keep such a clean work bench? Does weight make a difference in the downhill race? How many points does a snowflake have? |
