I just looked at that website. What thickness and length of sock do I need? They are also pretty expensive - £15 for a pair of socks! At that price, I think I will be buying one pair of socks and washing them each night.

The thickness very much depends on the fit of your boot. When you buy new boots, you should look for a good fit with thin socks. As the boots pack in, you can wear progressively thicker socks to keep the tight fit. If you haven't worn your boots since last season, they may be a little tight, so you might need a thinner sock for the first day. Boots are most responsive with light to mid weight socks, and you start to lose some feel if you need thick socks. Never wear two pairs.
