PrivateBryan, very harsh but true. Leave it as late as you can to see if Mrs H can make it, but have a sub replacement on standby who might get a cheapie. That way she can still possibly make it, you still get to go what ever the case. :-)

Should they say its healed, then we've got 2.5 weeks to get her ski fit and through the pain barrier so she can enjoy her usual fast paced ski week without having to bail out or cut days short.
Fingers crossed.....

Pah! Ski fit.....

I've been trying to get 'ski fit' for years and never really got there. Fit or not you can still have a ball and ski till you drop.
As for the pain, a few sherbets at lunch time will sort that along with a handful of Nurofen.
Go and have fun.

I used to think along similar lines, but having tried in the past 3 years to lose the little bit of timber I put on and keep fit at a gym, I found a profound improvement in both my ski fitness and recovery afterwards - no aches or pains and I wasnt stiff the next morning either (fnarr fnarr).
I also dont have more than a shandy at lunchtime as I believe drinking clouds your judgement, its similar to drinking and driving IMO, but I do like a few straight off the slopes for a catch up of the days events and sampling the atmosphere.
Nurofen just rots your guts. I prefer to take a tube of muscle and joint gel (no profen in that, just natural remedies) which works a treat if you massage it in before you ski and before you go to bed. About £10 a tube from Eve Taylor London.

Sounds to me like you maybe dont have the will power to get ski fit Snapzzz?
