Where is all the snow?

hope you get some good snow, i arrive from Australia on the 28th for St Anton.
i have 2 friends who have Strolz, they cant fault them and the ongoing support is very good. Even on a 8 year old pair the boot fitter in the resort made an adjustment to the lining free of charge.
Still going strong, heading there tonight actually!
i remember the generous measures of scotch in a scotch and coke, well they never left much room for coke

In Bad Hofgastein now and its pretty grim. Even though the cannons appear to have created a base the lift is closed. Been to Sportgastein today and the cable car was open to the top but there was only one run, with a few variations in the middle open although the snow was fine and blue skis for most of the day. Apparently there is just one run open at Bad Hoffgastein and Doffgastein has 43% open but I'm not sure if the 43% is correct. No real snow is forecast and they will be out of options when the masses descend next week. At least its fairly quite now

That does sound pretty bad, but at least you have something to ski on, and the resort is open.

First post on the forum.
I am about to start skiing again after 15 years, going to Lech this Thursday. I will also visit courchevel with my family in January. My excitement was killed by the terrible snow reports and webcam images. It just started snowing very mildly now, so hopefully they will make enough snow to have something to ski on by the time we get there.
Also I am getting a Strolz boot made in Lech because I have alien feet and couldnt even stand the pain of putting a boot on about 3 years ago. Anyone have experience with custom made Strolz boots? I am crossing my fingers for both good snow and good boots.

There seems to be a fair-ish amount falling in Lech this week, and the cannons are working too. Fingers crossed for those going out this early in the season.

Snowing in Lech today, so there should be enough for the pistes to be good at least.
