Crowley,

I'm heading to St Anton too for the same week.... Now sure if you've checked out this website but latest forecast are probably the best they've been since the start of the season with temperatures set to plummit and some snow forecast too for St. Anton.

as long as its white and downhill i'll make the most of it

You are so right.

Mrs Smartski is saying I'm spending longer looking at webcams and forecasts than I will spend actually skiing when I do go.

Time to stop worrying. There's nothing I can do about it.
if I'm not skiing then I'm kayaking.

some nice steady snow in St Anton right now, the town looks great and the place seems to be in full swing. afew skiers have told me the conditions on mountain are very good.

Crowley, I've felt your pain over the last few weeks so delighted it all appears to be working out.

And bet your glad you've gone to St Anton rather than France where officials reckon only 6,000 or so of 35,000 vehicles on their way to the alpine resorts have made it today. The worst transfer day in history, apparently, due to heavy snow and accidents/blockages due to cars without winter tyres and properly-fitted chains.

I can imagine how bad a road journey would have been today. we were lucky to have chosen the rail option from Geneva. Traffic on roads near to the railway line looked to be moving very slowly.
slippy slidey snow......me likey!

On days like today, you appreciate those resorts that you can reach by rail!
