26th is a bad day to go....the forecast is terrible for that day, especially around 11am. I would go on the 27th ;-)
Thats half term teach, more expensive and more people 8)
Half term is one week, February has four. This year half term is the week beginning the 15th. Not that that bothers me at the moment.

Whatever he chooses to do he'll have a fab time, if he chooses to continue his trip to 'B' then it's more likely there will be enough snow when he goes than not and there are enough people on here to give him advice on the do's and dont's, so that he'll have the best time :D

February is usually the best time for snow in europe, so if you can do it, you should.
You 'will' have a good time, I'm sure, and when you've finished your holiday there you'll be able to look forward to next one knowing it'll be even better! :D

sm4sh, don't worry too much about the comments on Borovets. The holiday will be what you make of it.
I was in Borovets two seasons ago, and we had terrible snow and did almost no skiing at all for the week, however, that did not stop the people who were beginning from taking lessons and getting on very well. People seem to forget that beginners generally need very little in the way of pistes to be able to ski and learn. 500 yards of gentle to moderate slope will go a long way with a beginner, however a good skier may be looking for 40 miles plus of skiing a day.
The nightlife was cheap and loud, and if you are happy to "party" then great atmosphere can be found in town. Just watch out for some of the seedier places, and listen to your reps. The hotel food was basic, but there are some decent places to eat in town.
I was unlucky enough to get a sinus infection (which had to be cured by surgery) just before I went to Borovets, but despite that I have to admit I had a good time overall, but there were 24 of us and we did have a hectic evening life  however, I personally would not consider going back for another ski trip. Others may well feel different about that, only you can tell.
Which hotel have you booked for?
