Nellie,
I just had a look at the Snow and Rock website, and they say that their comfort guarantee on ski boots only lasts for the season in which you buy the boots - which means that if you buy boots from them now the comfort guarantee only lasts until 15th April (i.e. only for 2 weeks).

This doesn't seem very fair to me, but that's what it says, as far as I can see.

So, perhaps if your OH buys his new boots from them tomorrow he should wear them 24 hours every day for the next 2 weeks

But at least he saves the £150 fitting charge that I will have to pay :D

This is the comfort guarantee for snow and rock.

The comfort guarantee is only valid for the season in which the boots are purchased. Boots purchased between September 1st 2009 and 15th April 2010 are valid for the 2009/10 winter season, finishing on the 15th April 2010. For boots purchased after April 15th 2010 the comfort guarantee is valid until the end of April 2011.

It is a bit harsh if you buy boots on the 14th april but there you go.

The topic turned up on another forum where someone had been sold the wrong size of boots. Returned a season later (outside period of guarantee) and a full refund was received as replacement boots had been purchased elsewhere. It seems they handled the situation very well.

Ally, I strongly recommend you buy where there give you a guarantee to return or exchange, as something tells me you are going to be going back to them.
