Just got back from Chil F and tried the

Scott Wind which were very light under the foot, great for short turns but even when pushed didnt really excite me. They only had a 169 lenght but even if longer you just get the feeling they would start to chatter with a bit of speed.

K2 Apache Explorer was very heavy and i didnt mind that but maybe to heavy. Tried the 177s which i was happy with and was excellent on nice smooth long turns. Could push this for speed and they would love it probably more than me. A ski that i would have for a long time as my ability would have to keep catching up with it, which is what im looking for.

salamon x wing tornado Ti was the dogs conkers. I had a huge stupid smile on my face. Tried the 173s which i loved. Was responsive to the slightest tweak, did exactly what i told it to and I love control instead of speed. Excellent on short turns even made me look good. Could push this ski for years to come and I would never get bored. Weight wise it was just right. Tried some long turns (well as long as u can ) and it stuck to the snow/ice :P I loved it.

Now then Santa can you find me some cheap ones  Any ideas anyone?

Not the same performance, and a low end binding too....I suggest you avoid!
