After 4 ski trips I finally decided to invest in a pair of boots with custom footbeds and I am off to Hemel at the weekend for a first test run.
Should I have been wearing them in around the house or is that now too late ?
Painful feet while on ski-lift!

No, it's not too late, start tonight :D yes, really
Stand in and flex them, it's not worth sitting watching the telly in them.
Thanks Bandit - I am now standing in them (and flexing) watching the telly !
THREE CLIPS!
Anyway, they look far too swish for me, mmmm, tartan ski boots.....
squeek, squeek, squeek, and wire bails are a pain. Raichle (Deelux) have finally got away from wire bails on their hard snowboard boots. No one complained when they did that.

Love those boots!!!!! Tartan and all :D
I bought new boots last year as I have mentined before, and CEM also helped me to choose where I got them. I have not lloked back except I still get sore feet and have to unclip for every chair. I think after reading what you guys have written here that my bottom clips are done up too tight!! I thought the whole boot had to be tight not just around my ankle and shin. I will try to keep the bottom clips looser thanks.
Can anyone advise if it might be dangerous for me to try to ski with them unclipped to see what happens
My 7 year old skiied all morning one day last year before I noticed his boots were ALL unclipped. He was no better or worse than normal

Go to ProFeet for footbeds!
Also if your feet hurt going up the lift try lossening the buckles (not so loose they fall off). Could be that you are loosing circulation.
