Think I'm tending my bet towards you Wickers, should it come to tennis. I too use the term, "bat", for my raquet. Seems to keep a sense of lucidity and levity.

Just had my bat in for it's third re-string, and it has developed a vibration in the frame. Life shouldn't be like that.

I gotta tell just you, so don't tell anyone else. I used the same scam some 15 years ago a young guy was egging me on for a game so I gave him the old bat routine and his eyes lit up could not get me on the court quick enough, if memory serves I think it was 6-0 6-1 and it was not me that finished second. Come to think about it the wager was for beer, I was a gent I just took a couple pints off him

Things to do 1. Get bat out of the garage loft

I guess the next decision is as to which surface we play on, I was brought up on grass and hard courts, but I'm not fussed which, and also which hand you would like me to play with

All of a sudden we are talking about a slalom competition on the slopes of N!!!!
That is not going to happen for several reasons.
Anyway, I see Ian is suddenly the bookies favourite should it be a tennis match. Interesting. Always bet on the underdog )
As for the inside info about my skiing, not sure how Dave Mac can comment on my speed, seeing as he took off without warning me....! And then when he turned at the end, I was on his tails. Maybe I took a lift down.....????? Unless he has eyes in the back of his head, he didnt once see me ski!!!!!
Anyway, I can comment on his style, as I think I did at the time. Old skool, straightline speed, few turns, knees together, upright body position, quite elegent. And very quick!

Right, back to the tennis challenge. Me and Whickers will come up with something, and let you all know the outcome. Sometime.
www  New and improved me

I might be mistaken T, but did you not set off before me from the mid-section of the top run, and wait at the base of the T-bar. I watched you very competently thread your way through a crowded slope.

While I sauntered down on the LHS, beside the trees?
