I could talk forever about a young man I knew who succumbed to mnd last year. He was a big ski enthusiast, rugby player, fantastic father and husband, you name it.
We should all thank goodness for our own health.
If we want to get back onto "exciting" things again: my spirits have been lifted today by my 7 year old. He has somehow realised that he wants to draw with charcoal so we bought him some today. The result is quite a shock. It's made us all very excited! We're now googling the spray you can buy to make it last. Anyone know?

Well the rain did hold off for a couple of hours and the last day of the show went ahead. So managed a couple of hours on beach.

I thinks its brilliant,Caron-A. I dont think a 12 year old could do that well. Its well worth nurturing a child that has talent in any-thing

We went to the Minnesota State Fair yesterday. Like a county fair on steroids. I hate crowds and it was hell, but the kids needed the experience as state fairs are culturally/historically important in the US.
A chance to see how many different foods can be deep fried including Mars bars. Saw one good salsa/cumbia/cubana band. I love that sound. There was a real freak show which was not on our itinerary. From US TV you'll know the freak show is alive and well here as Jerry Springer or some other way to exhibit afflicted people. Highlight was the butter sculpting - such artistry. It was horribly hot and sweaty.
