This appears to have metamorphasised into a "What are you doing right now" thread......

My kids have now both left school, so it feels a bit odd seeing all the other kids going back this morning. Is it the same across the UK, ie first day today?

Exciting ???

The weather in BC, Cranmore to be precise, gave 6cm of snow yesterday :!:!
How much more excitement do we need for August 31?

On the other hand, the local outdoor swimming pool closed last week, we went canoeing for the first time in 4 years, and my wife goes white water rafting as part of her company meeting tomorrow. (They know how to hold a meeting!) So far no drownings to report.

Now, I'm off to the basement to tell the skis we are only 97 days from the new season.
Ohhh - the excitement :!: :!: :!:

But, Tony H, a well timed printing press is indeed very exciting when printing at a high speed. Look at all those parts working in perfect synchronization. Now that's exciting -- listen to that cyclic rush of air as it is ehausted :!:

Any exciting sailing moments you care to share ellistine?? Must have been a few close calls.

Just the five capsizes on Tuesday night whilst trying to nail gybing at speed with the gennaka up. It's just like skiing (well sort of), every capsize was when turning right. The lefts weren't a problem. I used to have exactly the same issues with the dryslope

This weekend we're on a sort of training/coaching course specific to our class of boat. Absolutely no idea what to expect (appart from rain) but should be a good laugh.

Well I've just got back from watching the British Touring Cars at Silverstone. It pissed down with rain the whole time but I was watching from inside the Vauxhall pit garage and could watch the crashes on the TV.

I am now going through all of my life in boxes and deciding what I need to take back to uni in a few weeks and what can be sold on ebay; a pair of Salomon Performa boots (size 29) or Atomic SX11 poles anyone (110cm)?
