I did like the 5 or 6 reds at the top in Auffach .
Is it the schattberg or something like that. They are good to blast down. Have you already been there this winter then

I haven't been to Niederau, but one good thing I have noticed about it is that it is comparatively cheap, when compared with other ski resorts.

For example, today I had an e-mail from Inghams offering a 7 day ski holiday there over Christmas (out on the 21st back on the 28th), staying in the Harfenwirt guesthouses with half-board and including flights for only £284 per person for 2 people sharing a room.

I thought this was an amazingly good deal :D

You can get a cab to Hopfgarten which is part of the skiwelt network, this includes soll, brixen, westendorf etc.
They use to do a Kitzbulher pass which includes niederau and skiwelt network.

Yes, that's what I thought. For that price I wouldn't grumble at all about how many runs there are, and I could keep myself busy trying to beat Dave Mac's record of ski-ing the whole place in 45 seconds (or whatever it was)

Unfortunately, I can't go because I've got family and paying holidaymakers coming here over Christmas and the New Year

I will just have to survive without ski-ing until the holiday we've booked in Feb

paulschlote wrote:Niederau is a good place for beginners without a doubt, but you mentioned some of you are experienced skiers. You will without much difficulty be able to ski all of niederau in a little over half a day.For some better skiing but still local head down to auffach on the ski bus. It's about 10 minutes away and is free. The snow should be a little better down there for March, certainly in the afternoon as its about 400m higher than Niederau. The nursery slope in niederau cut up quite badly in mild weather, but if the learners progress fairly quickly there are a fer easy/learner runs that the instuctor will use at the top of the gondola. You can get a cab to Hopfgarten which is part of the skiwelt network, this includes soll, brixen, westendorf etc.

I'm not trying to put you of the place, as you know half the great thing about ski holidays is the apres and meeting up with your learner friends and having a laugh about the wipe outs etc.

I thought I had written that for a minute.
Absolutely spot on correct.

Perhaps you could take a look at your romper suit photo again. That'll wake you up!
I wish I could meet the person who first decided to strap 2 planks to their feet and throw themselves down a mountain
