Isn't that a tad dangerous? I'd drown if I drank that much and went swimming.

I do believe that Tino puts in quite a few hours in training for this element of his sport!

Not sure if he can swim though )

......good point Bandit, I should clarify: Swim = Getting wet in a pool, for the love of goodness, how does one manage breaststroke or crawl with a Mojito???

Allan Rothwell wrote:A great day is to ski from Tignes via the val lift, I forget its name (Tommeaurse, mayve?) across then down to Les Dials via Verde run then hop on the bus to the Solaise Express in Val, get to the top of Solaise then get the up and over 6 man chair to La Fornet (don't look down) and ski the glacier totally fab, fantastic day. Tignes Val Claret is a great spot as you can get up the Grande Motte quickly and the skiing around that area is stunning. I've heard all these stories about various resorts being like Tenerife in the snow, its not true, just hype to get the yoofs in. Go for Tignes Val Claret you will love it, been the last 21 years at Easter.

I'd agree, but would not take the bus from Les Dials. I'd take the funicular up and ski La Face down to the Solaise Express lift.

The Tommmuses lift is the one you take on the return journey. It's the Aeroski (La Lac) or the Tufs (Val Claret) lift you need on the way there. Ski the off piste area under the Tommuses lift it's superb .

I skied Santons down into Val, Face is not everyone's ideal piste )

No definately not for all. Not that that stops a lot of people passing the expert skiers only signs that really shouldn't!

Santons is the alternative, taking the Solaise lift rather than the Solaise Express.

Hi ,

Only thing I can think of adding to the other replies is that Tignes & Val are one of the all time great resorts although I feel that the Tignes side has been hampered slightly by some over developement, with a loss of terrain, and with the extra bodies it now accommadates at the end of the day from the last run down from the Toviere chair it can be somewhat crowded.....best to leave it 10 minutes or so until most have gone down and then head down.....unless your freezing your chatsbies off :D :D
