Do you still have it? Maybe worth reposting?

That is not a glancing blow is it?! Makes you shudder to think what would have been the result without a helmet.

A friend of mine had her helmet sliced by a snowboard, that would have been very messy.

AFAIR he did send the photo to Giro, who failed to reply. He purchased another Giro, much the same model.

No, it's not, I saw him fall and he headplanted (well more faceplant) and I initially didn't see the rock sticking out of his helmet. Only when he'd stood up was it quite plain

I was skiing with a 6' 3" Rhino!

This is exactly why they are a good idea, although i fully respect everyones own personal choice.
Personally i don't really enjoy wearing a lid, i'd much prefer a bobble but there are too many factors out of my control, mainly other skiers. You simply cannot rely on others to be as careful and respectful as yourself. And if some crashes into me full pelt then i would prefer to be better equipped to handle the impact.

If i were alone on the piste and just cruising i would probably just wear a bobble but as i do not own my own private mountain.....i wear a helmet.....mostly.
