Do you have a favoured radius ?

souldrive Set a ski on edge and let it turn naturally. The distance it takes to complete an arc from one direction to another is the radius. Skis with a small radius like slalom skis, say 11/13 metres will turn much tighter than big mountain skis 19-23 metres. Choice can be down to how you prefer to ski, big lazy turns down the fall line, or tight carved arcs?
Hint....the folks in the Verbier Comp, were'nt using skis which have a small radius )

I've been watching some of the runs on the live broadcast this morning. Great weather for the event, but the snow looked quite horrid in places, and there were lots of rocks. Oh, and it was somewhat steep

Much better to watch the utter nutters
Yes, it clashes! I wonder who set their date 1st?
Zinal is going to be rather busy this weekend )
The finals of the Freeride World Tour are scheduled for tomorrow in Verbier.
The organisers'website plans a live webcast of the comp on http://www.freerideworldtour.com/

37 "riders" both ski and snowboard, plus $100,000 USD prize money.
Local times on the links, comp is weather dependent of course!
Ahem ) Some of the people you ski with are 10 years younger than you, and some just look 10 years younger :D

Hmmm, if you are around at season finale, you may still be tired from your week long tour, so I might just be able to keep up.....

I see, like you, Neil also collects snow on his helmet, good piccy :D
Hmmm, ise is very, very quiet. I think this means he's up on my hill, stealing my freshies
I've been doing a snowdance and I have clearly peaked way too soon
ise pace yourself, you have a challenging week ahead. Anyway, the Freeride Comp boys are all younger, fitter, don't get back pain, or sore anything )
I need the snow to be in pristine condition for my arrival, so if you want to go up, could you sit in a deckchair and guard some pow for me....please :D
