Poor you, what a hassle. You could have called me up and I would have come round and helped out. Could have towed you out if necessary (I'm assuming you have a towing eye?)
So, when are you going to invest in a car port? :D |
Hi, Welcome to the forum :D I've been to St Gervais several times, and you are spot on with the confusing choice of passes. I would suggest that you all put the money for passes aside and wait until you get there to see what the local conditions are like. If there is plenty of snow you'll find enough to keep you busy in and around St Gervais/Megeve, as it's quite extensive. As you'll have the use of a car you may want to check out the surrounding area, so you might even want to buy day tickets choosing your resort based on that day's weather. |
He's not the only one heading out to the snow this weekend :-D :D

I always prefer the Zooloo cafe, where you can go play in the fuselage of a plane  If the weather forecast is maintained, you will need a good pair of goggles, Mon/Tues/Weds 8), oh and some powder skis :D |
Your airline, or your Tour Op can provide this info. Part of the airport is in France, the rest in Switzerland. |
If you are landing on the Swiss side, the baggage comes on a carousel, and the skis/boards on a conveyor. There are no checks to ensure folks pick up the correct skis, or even if they own what they are claiming. I would suggest watching the conveyor like a hawk. I can quote one British woman commenting to me last year as I picked up my ski bag....
"ooh Stockli's, I could have had them" I was thinking that she probably would have not made it out of the airport...alive  Car Hire desks are immediately outside the carousel area. Railway station is off to the left, and coaches are straight out through the doors and across the concourse. |
Are you landing at the French side, or the Swiss side?
