Nurcan, hi, welcome to the forum.
I skied in Pamporovo many years ago, and flew into Plovdiv. It was cheap and very, very basic. The instruction I received was extremely good and the hire equipment was a good quality. The ski area was fine for me at the 2-3 week stage on skis, and has been extended since then.

The food was very good, but sometimes in short supply in the restaurants.
It's become a lot more sophisticated since then, but still attracts skiers who are on a tight budget.
I'm not sure of the rules and regulations for you driving there from Turkey, you might have to ask a Motoring Organisation what you will need for the car.
Have you visited Turkey's own 8 ski resorts yet?

* Kartalkaya

The mink has to die to provide this, it's a by product of the fur trade. Many people may not wish to support that trade.

I have no intention of using the extract of the fatty layer found under the skin of an animal killed only for it's skin.
There are alternatives, and use of mink oil supports the fur trade.

Its all part of the chain, and we as humans are higher than some measley rat.

In what way is it part of a "chain" to need to breed animals, solely to provide fashion items for rich women (and some men). It's natural to rear animals for food, and use the inedible parts of the carcass for clothing. Mink are bred solely for the fashion industry.
And you think that somehow makes us higher beings :?

Yes, I know it's a pretty good topic drift, though I'm not really seeing the connection of Mink Oil to Ski Hardware anyway.

Lucky you, going skiing soon, and in new boots :D If you are asking about the binding setting for a new boot, then you need to take your boots into a ski shop and get the bindings checked. Boot sole length does seem to vary between models in the same size. It's really important to get the space between the front and rear binding piece just right, as otherwise the binding won't release properly. Your binding may also now need adjusting for boot height usually at the toe. Again a dealer can do this for you. I hope you will be able to avoid having your binding moved on the skis (ie: re-mounted)If you watch all this being done, you will know for next time (but should still take your kit to a dealer) It's not too difficult, but it needs to be done exactly right.

Enjoy your skiing :D

karen72, I will no doubt add to your quandary by suggesting you consider Valmorel in the Tarentaise. The resort has dedicated learners areas, and a good long term reputation for teaching children to ski. The area is short on tough, pisted skiing, plenty of long blue grade runs, largely untouched off-piste. Maybe a search on the Tourist Office site will tempt you.

Then again, somewhere in Austria with good teaching, and lots of stuff to do off the slopes (kids may not want to ski all the time)would suit just as well. Austria does do apres-ski quite well, way past sitting in bars and restaurants :D

Instead of simply looking for high altitude in a resort, check out how many snow cannons a resort has, how much of the terrain is covered. Many low lying resorts have perfectly acceptable snow depth in "poor" winters, because their slopes are grassy and they top up the levels with snow cannons. Their high altitude neighbours need much greater depth because it's all rocky underneath!
Boot vocab.
