Tino The weather will be too windy and the uplift will be shut. Go check the weather forecast!!

Duh, now I'm not sure which model Hestra's I have, and I can't go and look at them, as they are in our cave in Grimentz.

ISTR Delfy 2000 being mentioned as the material. There is definitely a separate fleecy inner glove which velco's into position. Apart from that they look like the one's ise uses but in a slightly different colour.
I can't say that I have noticed them leaking over the last 3 winters, but I have not had occasion to run them under a tap. I do however use the Hestra balm on them, which is a waterproofer and leather softener, and it smells nice.

ise if you are treading on your glove toggles, are you dragging your hands along the ground when you walk? ) BTW I always thought your gloves had the fleecy inners, oh well

I'm gobsmacked that some folk would buy gloves based on colour. I have had *1st degree frostbite from wearing ski gloves that promised lots and delivered naff all. They were C&A (remember them in the UK), Thinsulate, and had all the right labels. I got a full refund on my return to the shop.
*1st degree frostbite defined as, no feeling in fingers, even when they are warmed up, so some nerve ending damage, and tips of fingers very white.

DF wrote:A bit of a daft topic I know, however not being a shopper-other than sports shops-please could someone let me know were to buy BW.

Having just purchased my very first set of skis I wish to protect them the bag throwers sorry handlers at Gatwick.

Stationery wholesalers usually have big rolls of the stuff. You might want to pack your thermals and socks round your skis instead, and save space in your case.

Really, there is no amount of padding you can give to your skis to protect them adequately during baggage transit. Protect the tips/tails/bindings and keep fingers crossed. Based on past experience I have opened my ski bag and checked it before leaving the airport.
The only solution is to buy a rigid SkiTube, pricey though.

Well, if you have ever seen a lonely glove underneath a chairlift line, and thought fancy dropping that, what an *****

Hestra call them handcuffs, a much more fashionable title and ever so slightly mysterious )

ise I'm gutted, the price of these gloves has come down

I think this is my model tho...

http://www.skimarket.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=370 even cheaper!

I purchased the Mens' model to get decent sizing :D

I'm wondering if I can wash my fleece inners, since I got quite a bit of blood in one glove from splitting a knuckle in Zermatt. I have taken the fleece insert out without any problems, and it simply velcros' back in place afterwards.
These are tough, well made gloves.

ise How are you mashing your toggles? I'm almost afraid to ask

Tino If you are losing your gloves, then idiot strings are the way forward, I use them, so I must be one )

half of 45 is 22.5 but this is a tan() function not a linear scale.

and no in answer to your other question ) )

I'm not questioning your maths or the logic, I think it will make sense if I see it done in practice. It's all feeling a bit abstract for me currently )
