TBH I don't do moguls. Can't see the point, because it's not fun. Powder is another matter. I prefer to board on powder, but if I ski, I take poles. Not because I use them skiing so much, but they are great for standing up and moving around when you can't skate.

Really, I live for the carve. I'm not very interested in anything else. To carve is divine, to skid is human. When I go out west, I'm the only one hoping for it not to snow. I want icey groomers.

Poor Trencher, not getting the buzz from skiing the zipper line down a bump field. You would hate European skiing, we let em grow naturally, and folks ski what's there.

Here's one I tackled in 2006, and I think ise is also somewhere in the photo. It was icy and fun )

Merry Christmas to you all

that triggers civil defence so be careful, the Swiss army are probably allowed to shoot first and ask questions later :D

Cheers ise :P though this bit of the Valais is at 3 currently. Yesterday seemed to be the "lets play with the munitions" day in Zinal

Zermatt seems to be rated at 4 (high) out of 5 on the avalanche scale today. Lets hope daved is okay and still able to enjoy his holiday.

fast is good, you've got to commit to the terrain

I have found it useful to be prudent, and let you commit to the terrain, so I can see where the rocks are )

I had a really good day, skiing stuff I would never choose to tackle alone. ise put a hole in his new skis pretty well first run down.

ise I had no idea you had your camera out, it's a good job I was right way up by then :D

Why am I staring at my feet...they are where I left them

An excellent day 8)
