Yes yes, enough already with all the name dropping.....more importantly, how was it to ski on?

It felt less sugary than the conventionally made artificial stuff. It also made a huge difference to the depth of the base on the return run to mid station, giving a good hard base. I have no idea what chemicals are being used, but there was a huge pallet of the stuff in the c/c station.

caron look out for Adidas Robin goggles. Quite good peripheral view and they are made for smaller faces :D

thanks bandit. I love the look of them but both the sites I've looked at have said they're for the medium to larger face?

I dunno duck, you'd have to try a pair on, I guess it's relative :D

ADIDAS ROBIN GOGGLES
The Adidas Robin a120. Here is a glimpse of the future of eye protection: the world's first dual-spherical lenses. Their horizontal and vertical curvature permits unrestricted all-round vision, despite their small form; these snowboard goggles have been developed in cooperation with top snowboarders. For snowboarders, clear vision is paramount.

These are the Sinner ones I treated myself to, yet to try them....

Tony, this system has been installed in Zermatt at Trockener Steg.

I've created a monster...for what it's worth I try to avoid Ryanair as they don't seem to go out of their way to be particularly pleasant to customers, however they're cheap and I'll put up with this for the cheapest ticket...call me mercenary

Admin, can you do the honours on the name change please....

My last 3 flights with the orange ones have been late....including last night's. No idea why, no information given

Tony_H wrote:No, they dont, but they also dont have to, which is what people seem to forget. If you book with the likes of Ryanair and your flight is cancelled for whatever reason, be prepared to either book yourself in somewhere or pay for alternative transport. They dont HAVE to do anything, yet so many people want to waste time arguing with airline or airport staff when their flight isnt on time.

Perhaps people need to take a long look at themselves, and find something worth getting upset about, rather than taking an opportunity to claim a free drinks voucher. Make cheap travel arrangements - deal with the consequences, sorry but thats the reality of it.

Actually, Tony, if you follow the link in my post above, you'll be able to read up on Passenger Rights in Europe. It's law in Europe and even includes Ryanair despite their best efforts to ignore it on occasions.

If you or your friends lose control, hit another skier and injure them on French ski slopes, it is likely that a Gendarme will be called and statements taken. 3 years ago I was invited to press charges for assault after a woman crashed into me on a French ski slope.

That seems nuts. It's an inherently dangerous sport, and that could quite feasibly happen to anyone purely accidentally.

If you assault another person in the street, you would likely be arrested. Why should skiing be any different?

If you cause injury to another person whilst driving your car, you would expect the police to show up.Why should skiing be different?
