Depending on your arrival hour in Geneva, you can take a train from the airport, change at Geneva and Chambery and arrive at Modane which I think is the nearest station, about 25km to the resort. Cost is 45 Euros single. Travel time to Modane is about 4 and a half hours.

Big dealers, like S&R or EB, somewhere that sells Tyrolia. Phone 1st and book them in for a slot.
It should be a straightforward mount. The Templates can be obtained by a dealer online IIRC, if they don't stock them. Weird! |
I'm presuming you mean DMC. It's a multi person stand up gondola type lift, quite common in French resorts. In this case it's the Aup De Veran AFAIR. It all depends on the way the wind is blowing, Flaine is in a bowl. |
DazUltra, if you are strapped for cash, get a decent fitted pair of Superfeet or Conformable footbeds. You can put them into any hire boot, for better comfort and control. Just remember to take them out when you hand the boot back )

Chairlifts usually run in winds like that. Depending on the direction of the wind, the DMC might be affected.

Keep all your receipts for your expenditure incurred as a result of their incompetence. Check out

I have sold a few pairs of skis on ebay. The main issue for me was that the big courier companies won't deal with you (unless you have a business account with them). Yellow Pages and google to the rescue. I found a little courier co. who ordered a pickup from one of the big companies to collect my sale. Quite a good price too, and no messing around with size limits.
