mostly, and I know this is obvious, they're looking in the wrong place  People don't always realise how a ski moves in snow and their search patterns are hopeless, not having shovels and probes doesn't help really either.

I have felt that horrible gut feeling and panic when a ski can't be found, and it's something that I dread happening again :(
What should you be doing ?

Yes ise, I was thinking of the correct desert, and that stuff gets in everywhere )

I see you found some snow to photograph, but where are all the camels?

Nice puddings BTW :D

I really must change my Avatar

Perhaps we could now know you as Bandita...or Bandetta...

Reckon Bandit is a dead cool name tho. Is that what people call you in every day life?...Cept people like the bank manager and stuff...

Thanks for the  on my screen name. Unfortunately, in everyday life, people call me lots of names, most of them are unsuitable for this forum

The Bank Manager AFAIR calls me Hmmmmm, no idea why

to be honest they are a bit of a waste of time though :D I thought the primary function was to intimidate other people about how hardcore the user was :D

In avalanche terrain I'm still not comfortable with them and the prospect of being caught up with your kit. Nearer the piste you might save time, needless to say, on the rare times I've worn them I've not released a ski let alone lost one.

Like you need to intimidate other people into thinking you are hardcore. Have you looked in the mirror recently?

I have seen way too many unhappy folks digging this winter, some of them at it for hours. We need Transceivers that will pick a reflection from skis.

Any inventors out there?

I don't think he's posted for about a month. Maybe the St Anton trip had a  effect?

I'm missing his Hillfrog outlook )

personally, I think having to be through security 40 mins beforehand is a bit ridiculous.

All the decent shops and eateries are on the other side tho. For me 40 mins will not be nearly enough 8)

I should be heading through T5 in April, we shall see :D
